A New Year 2010

As 2009 comes to a close we will look back and see that for many industries it was a year of survival. Those who survived may hope to become stronger as the economic conditions improve in 2010. For others they could not make it through and yet others merged or were purchased in order to survive.
I saw many changes to the industrial arena, from the way products are sourced to the various products that are being required. Customers exepect that they can get an urgent request replyed to at anytime by sending the request via email, IM or texting. Who could of imaged texting a request to a sales representative at 6:30pm(after hours) and get a response before 9:00am the following day.

It will be interesting to see what we are in for in this new decade we are about to embark on. Remember all the changes that were predicted in the past decade that we were faced with. I did not read in the 90's that we needed to be prepared for mobile computing via a cell phone, Twitter, Google or Facebook. These are things that evolved as the technology became available. We will have to wait and see what technology will bring us. For know we can enjoy what we have and patiently await the next technolgy wave, as products are shrunk and speeds are increased to meet our desires for instant knowledge and satisfaction.
